Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use SlidePresto to create a preview or purchase a finished video. We've tried to keep them readable and proportionate to a simple A$4.99 service.
1. The service
SlidePresto lets you upload photos, choose or upload music, create a preview and, if you choose, purchase a full-quality finished video. A preview can be created without payment. The current purchase price shown at checkout is a one-off payment for that video; SlidePresto does not enrol you in a subscription.
2. Your content and permission to use it
You keep ownership of photos, music and other content you upload. You give SlidePresto a limited, temporary licence to store, process, modify as technically necessary, combine and render that content solely to provide the service you requested.
By uploading content, you confirm that you own it or otherwise have the rights and permissions necessary to use it in your SlidePresto. You must not upload content where doing so, or our processing of it at your direction, would infringe another person's copyright, privacy or other rights or break the law.
3. SlidePresto Music
Music supplied within SlidePresto may be used as part of a video created through the SlidePresto service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, this does not give you ownership of the underlying music or a separate right to extract, redistribute, sell or reuse the music independently of your SlidePresto video.
4. Price and payment
The price displayed before purchase is the amount payable for the finished video. Payment is processed through Stripe. A purchase is a one-off transaction and is not a recurring subscription.
5. Rendering and delivery
After successful payment, SlidePresto begins creating the full-quality video. Rendering can take time depending on the project. You do not need to keep the browser open: when the render finishes, SlidePresto sends the purchaser a private recovery/download link by email.
You are responsible for providing a usable email address and for downloading your finished video during the availability period.
6. 24-hour availability and deletion
Paid project files and the private recovery/download link are designed to remain available for 24 hours after successful payment. Unpaid or abandoned project files are also temporary. SlidePresto automatically removes expired job files as part of its retention process.
Once files have been deleted, they may not be recoverable. Please download and back up your finished video promptly.
7. Refunds and problems
If you pay for a SlidePresto and we are unable to successfully create or provide the finished video, contact support@slidepresto.com. We will investigate and, where appropriate, rectify the problem, recreate the video or provide a refund or other remedy.
We do not generally provide a refund simply because you change your mind after a video has been successfully created and supplied. This does not limit any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights where it would be unlawful to do so.
8. Preview and final output
The free preview is provided to help you assess your project before purchasing. The final render may differ in technical quality, resolution, watermarking and encoding from the preview while retaining the project choices you made. You should check photo order, content and soundtrack selection before purchasing.
9. Acceptable use
You must not misuse SlidePresto, attempt to interfere with its operation or security, access another person's private project without permission, use automated means to overload the service, or use the service for unlawful purposes.
10. Availability
We aim to keep SlidePresto available and functioning reliably, but online services can experience maintenance, outages, rendering failures and circumstances outside our reasonable control. If a problem affects a paid service, the refund and consumer-rights provisions above apply.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SlidePresto is not responsible for losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control, by content supplied by you, by your failure to download a video before its stated expiry, or by unauthorised access resulting from you sharing your private recovery link.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Privacy
Our handling of personal information and uploaded project files is described in the SlidePresto Privacy Policy.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms as the service develops. The terms applying to your use or purchase are the version made available at that time.
14. Australian law and contact
SlidePresto is operated in Australia and these Terms are governed by applicable Australian law. For questions about an order, payment or these Terms, contact support@slidepresto.com.
