Privacy Policy
SlidePresto is designed to turn your photos and music into a finished video without requiring an account or long-term storage of your project. This policy explains what information we handle, why we handle it and what happens to it.
1. Who operates SlidePresto
SlidePresto is an Australian-operated service provided by an Australian sole trader, ABN 39 630 253 078. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@slidepresto.com.
2. Information we handle
When you use SlidePresto, we may handle:
- photos and image files you upload;
- music or audio files you upload;
- the choices you make when creating your video, such as photo order and soundtrack selection;
- your email address when you purchase a finished video;
- technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service, such as server logs and request information;
- payment-related identifiers and payment status supplied by our payment provider; and
- analytics information about how the SlidePresto website and application are used, such as pages viewed, general device/browser information, approximate geographic information, traffic source and interactions with features of the service.
SlidePresto does not need your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Stripe.
3. Why we use this information
We use this information as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure and improve SlidePresto, including to create previews and finished videos, confirm payment, provide a private recovery/download link, email you when your video is ready, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, respond to support requests and understand how people use the website and application.
We do not use your uploaded photos or music to advertise to you, and we do not sell your uploaded content or personal information.
4. Your photos, music and finished video
You keep ownership of the content you upload. By uploading content, you give SlidePresto the limited permission needed to temporarily store, process, combine and render that content for the purpose of creating the SlidePresto you requested.
Project files are intended to be temporary. SlidePresto automatically removes job files after 24 hours in accordance with the service's retention process. You should download and safely store your finished video before your private link expires.
5. Analytics and cookies
SlidePresto uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors find and use the website and application and how people move through the SlidePresto creation and purchase process. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process information such as page views, interactions, device/browser information, approximate location and referral or traffic-source information.
We use analytics to measure and improve the service. SlidePresto does not intentionally send your uploaded photo or music filenames, your uploaded media itself, your email address, full payment card details or private recovery link to Google Analytics. Funnel events may record non-content information such as whether photos or music were selected, whether a preview was started or completed, whether checkout was started and whether a purchase occurred.
Information processed by Google Analytics is also subject to Google's own privacy and data-handling practices. Your browser or device may provide controls for cookies and similar technologies.
6. Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Stripe may collect and process payment and transaction information under its own privacy practices. SlidePresto receives information needed to confirm the transaction, such as payment status, transaction identifiers and the purchaser email address.
7. Transactional email
SlidePresto uses Resend to send service emails, including the email telling you that your finished video is ready. Your email address is used for transactional communication associated with your purchase and support. Purchasing a SlidePresto does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
8. Private recovery links
After payment, SlidePresto creates a cryptographically random private recovery link. Anyone who has that link may be able to access the associated finished video while the link remains active, so please treat it as private and only share it with people you trust.
9. Service providers and disclosure
We may provide information to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate, measure and improve SlidePresto, including hosting/infrastructure providers, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional email and Google Analytics for website and application analytics. These providers may process information under their own privacy practices. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and operational measures to protect information handled by SlidePresto. However, no internet service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Access, questions and complaints
If you have a privacy question, believe information has been handled incorrectly, or want to make a request relating to personal information we still hold, email support@slidepresto.com. Because project files are automatically deleted after the retention period, we may no longer hold the material you are asking about.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SlidePresto changes. The current version will be published on this page with its latest update date.
